Day 72, Dinner with Friends

Wednesday, 13 March, was another busy day.  Friend Judy and I attended an interesting presentation at The Community House in Birmingham.  Called the Bullet Proof Lecture Series and presented by Camille Jayne, it proved to be informational and a good, insightful way to approach position oneself better through personal branding.  I had an entirely different concept of personal branding, but as it turns out, it’s pretty much how you present yourself to the world and how you put actions to your speech and not just give lip service.  I’m glad I went.  I almost – almost, mind you – thought I should go back to work.  LOL  I’m only kidding, of course.  I had hoped to spend some time working on the Galapagos photo book, but the dogs needed a walk and I needed a break.  After our daily three-miler, the dogs came home and went to sleep and I went to Tom’s Oyster Bar to meet my “streamer” friends for dinner.  “Streamer” friends because we used to monitor and test a stream at Big Beaver and Rochester eons ago for the Clinton River Watershed Council.  After two martinis, I didn’t give a hoot about the photo book so I came home and vegged!  Thursday was another day and, of course, now totally D-Day for that darned book.  Why am I always such a procrastinator?  If you look up that word in the dictionary, I’ll bet you find my picture.  🙂

Oh, and one other thing, I saw my first robin of the season this morning.  Yay!  Now, if I can only spot a red-wing blackbird, I’ll know for sure spring has finally sprung.
